It took me a little longer to find a suitable amplifier. The Billie Amp MK2 stays in my system for as long as it lasts. I’m happy every time I turn that big switch-on and volume knob and I can’t get enough of listening to it. Amplifiers are often simply designed or over-designed boxes. The Billie Amp, on the other hand, is a real eye-catcher. Restrained, thoughtful and emotionally appealing.

This is an amazing amplifier. It is driving B&W 801s in a large room, with ease. The clarity is astounding. Excellent stereo stage, with the individual instruments sounding clearer, and more lifelike than they did with the previous Revox amp. Physically, it is a thing of beauty, and this, matched by its musical performance makes it a most worthwhile link in any HiFi system. A great buy at the price, and made in Canada, eh?
Well done Itai and team.

When you were a young child do you remember your first time jumping off a high diving board? Well, for me it took a while to convince myself I would be OK. I finally jumped off and survived to jump off many more times. Purchasing the Class D Billie MK II was similar to that first high diving board jump. It took a lot of faith to replace my Willsenton R8 which sounded good but I wanted to downsize (size and weight) most components in my system. The R8 is a beast weighing in around 60 lbs. The Billie is much smaller and weighs about 25% of what the R8 weighs. The Billie does not require bias adjusting which was a pain with the R8. Turn the large knob until the tubes start to glow and wait until the tubes quit blinking and you are ready to play music. The rest of my system is Tekton Design 2-10 Perfect Set speakers, dual REL T/9x’s, Bluesound Node streamer, Audiolab CDT 9000 and Aeris 12th DAC. Speakers are 10′ center to center and best listening seat is 10′ from a line drawn between the speakers. Speaker tow-in is less than 5 degrees.
After about 25 hours I replaced the ECC99 Gold tubes with Brimar tubes purchased from Upscale Audio. The ECC99’s probably would have opened up more if I had left them in. Someday I will try them again. The Brimar’s gave a wider and deeper sound stage from initial startup. A couple weeks later The Tube Store had a sale on tubes (they always have something on sale). On a whim I purchased a set of Northern Electric 12AU7’s. Reviews were good and price was a little more than the ECC99’s. By the time these tubes arrived I had about 50 hours on the Billie. I installed the NE tubes and wow, the sound stage was better defined and extended left and right beyond the speakers. I was so excited with the performance of Billie with these tubes I was disappointed when a CD was finished and I had to wait a couple minutes to start the next CD.
So how does the Billie with NE tubes compare to the R8 with Gold Lion KT88’s. I am not very good with glowing words but Billie so far has virtually no negatives and lot of positives. The sound stage identifies individual instruments spread left to right and often beyond the speakers. The R8 had a good sound stage left to right but individual instruments often were not as easily identified. Depth of the sound stage is not spectacular because the speakers are only 15″ from the wall behind them. The R8 very seldom exhibited depth while Billie varies from no depth to perceived 3′ to 4′ and varies from track to track. Male vocalists sound a little better than females. I will experiment more with tubes but sometimes female voices have a gritty edge to them. Still trying to identify what is causing this. Guitars with steel strings sound slightly harsh. I hope this issue goes away as more hours accumulate on Billie.
Overall Billie is the best integrated amp I have ever owned. It is still burning in so I expect it to continue to impress. It’s appearance is great and generates a lot of complements. I have not tried the headphone jack, phono input or bluetooth input.
One con is the distance between the + and button above on the remote. They are too close together. I don’t have large fingers so I can imagine it being a major problem for those with fat fingers.
My last comment is that if Heaven 11 has significant upgrades these should be offered to Billie MK II customers even if the upgrades must be installed at Heaven 11.

The sound is very tuby with a lot of power
I have speakers hard to drive ( 87db,
4 Ohms) and this amp makes them sing !
I love it
I like the new remote
The service is A1

Very pleased with the performance of my Billie Amp. Listening to it seems like a very natural experience, the balance and the tone is very pleasing. Love the midrange and bass, the high end is never too much. I’m using a Dennafrips dac which I route my Moon cd player and WiiM streamer thru. I’m using a Schitt phono preamp as I find The Billie does not play my phono loud enough, phono cartridge is Orto Blue. I’m using Focal 948 speakers which complement the Billie nicely.

Great service. Called a couple times prior purchase. Got silver with marble. Gold tubes. Use with LRS. No subs. Sounds fantastic. Whole experience excellent.

Having played a few hours of music on the amp I can say I like how it sounds paired with my Buchardt S400s. The only sonic issue for me it that if nothing is playing, I can sometimes hear a whine coming from the tubes. Maybe this is normal, but it doesn’t affect the experience.

Billie 11 sounds great for the most part. I love the warmth of the sound. There are two things that surprised me though.
The first is that the remote doesn’t operate well or at all when it isn’t perpendicular to the receiver’s front. I ended up using the knobs most often as a result.
The second quip is regarding the initial sound in vinyl mode. The first few records I listened to had a distinct weakness in their lower frequencies which was odd, especially when the genre playing was death metal. Maybe it’s burn-in, maybe it’s my ears but eventually the lower frequencies came to life and became more prominent and pleasing. The other inputs didn’t seem to exhibit this initial weakness.
I’m overall happy with the Billie amp. Nevermind that, to my eyes, it is still the most aesthetically pleasing amp out there. Period.

Fantastic piece of hardware. Great sound, great look and excellent/personable customer service. I found Heaven 11 to be very transparent, they obviously care about their customers & care about the quality of their product.

Only just getting into it but I noticed an immediate step up in quality even when using the same Bluetooth audio source versus any Bluetooth speakers I’ve heard before. The sound has a nice warm quality to it. Unit looks good and feels well made too.

After a little over a month of living with the Billie Amp, it continues to bring my family joy. After nearly 25 years out of the “audiophile” game and neglecting a library of CDs, the Billie Amp has rekindled my love of music.
The beauty of the Billie first caught my eye as I was searching for a new integrated amplifier to serve as the foundation of new music system. Because our listening room is the living room, we needed something that could seamlessly integrate with all the furniture. Itai’s design does not disappoint and is a conversation starter.
Most important, the Billie’s sound exceeds its aesthetics. I primarily listen to classical music and the Billie balances tonal subtlety with excemplary dynamic range. Its 60 watts per channel easily powers old B&W DM601 S2 bookshelf speakers. It’s tempting, but I have yet to feel the need to take the Billie to “11,” which leaves me with plenty of headroom. It also pairs well with a REL T/5i subwoofer. The Billie’s sturdy binding posts can easily connect via a REL’s high level inputs.
Although I mostly use a CD source, the Billie’s myriad features belie its size and minimalist appearance. It has everything I currently need, but can accept another digital source, a turntable, and 2 more analog devices. Also convenient is the Bluetooth function. The Billie can quickly pair with my iPhone. Since my TV is Bluetooth capable, I can easily pair it with the Billie and enjoy high quality 2-channel sound.
Ordering from Heaven11 was a great experience. Itai has been quick with responding to questions and I received the Billie soon after my order. I’m pretty sure Itai and his team personally packed and inspected every amp.
I’m glad I found the Billie and look forward to seeing what else the Heaven11 team has in store for music lovers. Thanks Itai for creating a beautiful instrument.

I have used mine for several months and love it. Have it driving the Tekton M-Lore speakers. It has no problem pushing the speaker and the combination has a great warm sound with just enough bass. Using the optical connections for the CD player and the TV output. I just keep listening to different music to find the stuff that is really dinamic. Even fun to use with movies and TV. Just can’t believe how much sound I get for the price.
