I love the Billie! I’ve been running it for a few months now and have been 100% happy with it. I did add an external R2R DAC, which gave me the exact sound I wanted. The Billie is my first amp, and being amp curious, I ordered the Hifi Rose 280, which uses GaN FET Class D, has great reviews, and costs 50% more than the Billie. The Hifi Rose sounds really nice. It’s powerful and smooth and has a clean, natural organic sound, but I am addicted to the tubes! I can’t live without the warmth and texture that they bring. I’m returning it and sticking with the Billie.

I was so impressed with the Billy sound experience with a pair of old Klipsch Heresy floor speakers that I have upgraded to a new pair of Klipsch LaScala AL5s. Please check back in another few months I will provide an update.

Simply awesome! High end sharp and crisp, middle smooth and mellow, low end deep with perfect reproduction.Raises the bar on streaming. You are there, right there 8 feet from the stage. Design a conversation piece, actually enhancing the art on the walls. And, oh, the sweet comforting glow of the twin tubes…

I love this little amp. Right out of the box it sounded amazing. I’ve paired it with a set of Klipsch Heresy IV speakers and a Bluesound Node X streamer. What a fantastic setup.

Best purchase I could make in a sea of audiophile jibbirish! Love this Billie amp MK2. It really performs for my needs. Just a real sharp go to piece that is musically competent, and stylish as timeless hell! I enjoy looking at the Billie when listening to audiophile grade sounds. Jazz and Blues are remarkable sounding, open and airy with stage presence! Can’t say enough positive things other than Itai is more than reponsive to any questions one may have. Heaven 11 employees should go to bed knowing they make a stellar product that deserves to be front and center in the listening room and not tucked away in some credenza like so many components are today! I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for serious HiFi.

I had been reviewing amplifiers for months, showed this one to my spouse, and received it for Christmas. What a gift! The sound through our Martin Logan Motion 40 speakers is amazing, both through the Cambridge CD player or U-Turn Orbit turntable. Clear, sweet sound with adequate base, good midrange. The enthusiastic reviews were not overstated. The Billie even allows Bluetooth, though that’s not usually how I listen on this system. Amazing what’s packed inside this little beauty.

What a fantastic Integrated amp! Ordering was a piece of cake. The Billie arrived early and safely, great packaging. I worked with Itai on my order, what a great experience. The Billie is even better than I expected. Every time I turn the Billie on I am amazed by the sound it puts out plus it will play my loudspeakers louder than I can listen, lots of power! The Billie powers a set of Qualio IQ loudspeakers (4 Ohms) and a set of SVS SB-1000 Subwoofers with ease.
For inputs I’m running a Rega Player CD as a transport going into the Billie’s digital Coax input using the Billie as a DAC, it sounds fantastic. Plus a Oppo DV-980H DVD/Bluray Player into the Aux 5. Sony 42″ TV into the Aux 6. Every thing I plug into the Billie MK2 sounds great. I am very impressed with the Billie MK2’s DAC and the way Billie drives my Qualio IQ loudspeakers and the SVS subs. The system loads the room, it sounds extremely powerful.
I’ve had several Class D amps in the 2000’s and was not impressed. The Billie MK2 has cured these problems for me. Must be the tube frontend in the Billie I am a very satisfied customer.
The only problem I have had is with the remote, when turning the Billie up with the remote, it jumps too far up on the volume of the Billie with each press of the volume button. When turning the Billie down it goes up instead before going down.
Other than this, I love the Billie MK2 and would buy it again!

The Billie MKII amplifier has that sound I have been searching for.
I have been looking for an amplifier that sounds like this for ten years.
I have spent thousands of dollars buying amplifiers that I thought would have a tube sound. The Billie MK II amplifier is the absolute best sounding. It has Very much of the tube character of sweetness and warmth.
It’s a winner.

The sound is layered, detailed, and breathes at the top. The tubes add a touch of harmonic ambient glow that brings the music to life. The amp is a joy to interact with because of the intuitive design, and looks simply elegant. This is the “sweet spot”.

Excellent integrated amplifier. Exceeded my expections for sound quality and sound stage. The price is certainly fair for the quality of music and craftsmanship.

The Billie Amp brings out detail in music that I never have experienced before . “Goosebumps” is an under statement. The Billie Amp provides a complete emotional experience. The additional plus is it looks a wonderful as it sounds.

A beautifully crafted amp. Solid and good looking.
This is my first audiophile integrated amp and I could not have chosen better. I’ve paired it with Kef R11’s, a REL T7X and a Wiim Pro streamer. I am loving the sound. Wide and deep soundstage. Great clarity, punchy bass and plenty of power. Highly recommended!

This amp is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Yet, it does not skimp on features. And it sounds as beautifully as it looks. Both aesthetically and sonically, it matches my Fleetwood Deville SQ perfectly! The only thing missing in a modern integrated amp like this is wifi streaming capability.

BEAUTIFUL I love the way it looks, not to mention how it make my music sound! It has very warm rich sound, yet the highs are very bright. I’m using a Project X2 turntable with an Ortofon Black LVB 250 cartridge, and Vandersteen 2c speakers connected with Blue Jeans 10 AWG cables. Needless to say, I think it sounds fantastic! I love it. It’s the best of both worlds combined into one beautiful package: tube amp for that rich warm sound, with the digital DAC amplifier!
I’m very happy with it!

The Billie Amp is awesome. We needed a small amp to fit in a custom record console, which limits the options considerably. At the eleventh hour, we discovered the Billie, which had a nice enough design to impress my wife. It also fills out our Klipsch Forte IVs with cleaner and more precise sound than our previous amp and it has an impressively low noise floor considering the price point. My wife has also appreciated that we were able to remove a DAC and music streamer from our system because the Billie covers those bases with aplomb. Highly recommend!

First off the design is gorgeous. Honestly the pictures do this amp no justice. The attention to detail is fantastic. I appreciate the minimalist design with the wood knobs. My wife likes the design as well. (Ugly) electronics do not have to be on display in her living room haha!
I am using the Billie to power two 25 year old high end Infinity bookshelf speakers, two SVS sealed powered subwoofers, and a pro-ject turntable. We only listen to vinyl while at home so I cannot attest to any of the other listening experiences the Billie provides. That being said the sound improvement to the vinyl format over my 25 year old JVC amp cannot be overstated. It is a true leap forward! The warmth and detail are simply astonishing. New life has been breathed into my old speakers.
I have been listening to the Billie for several weeks before leaving this review so I could give an honest thoughtful opinion. This one is a keeper. Thank you Heaven 11 team for providing an outstanding product!

I love my Billie MK2 amp! First of all, it looks beautiful – the photos online really don’t capture how gorgeous this amp looks. It definitely has WAF (wife approval factor) for the living room. The source options are great and have everything I need. I’m glad they have a coax SPDIF in this version as I hooked up my CD player to it and it works perfectly (my CD player doesn’t have a TOSLINK output). The bluetooth works and sounds good, but since I’m using an iPhone, I don’t use it that much (AAC isn’t the best). I mainly use the RCA’s, one for a digital streamer and the other for my turntable. The Vinyl preamp in the Billie sounds really good, but I prefer the preamp I already own.
The best part about the Billie is how it sounds. I already had a decent set up before the Billie came but after I compared them, my old system sounded a little cold and harsh next to the Billie. The Billie amp sounds beautiful and slightly warm. The bass is powerful and the midrange is clear and detailed. The most outstanding thing for me was how large the soundstage is on the Billie Amp. My music envelopes my whole living room with wonderful depth and clarity. The imaging seems exactly as it should be, vocals are well placed and instruments are where they’re supposed to be and nicely separated.
One other thing I’d like to comment on is the volume knob. Big, beautiful walnut knob, just as you can see in the pictures, not only looks great but functions great as well. I find that I can adjust the volume quite accurately as it responds to the smallest movements. It will go remarkably low and on the other end, incredibly loud and powerful (although, since I live in a condo, I don’t go too loud very often). The headphone amp works very well and seems to drive my Sundara’s or HD 650’s without too much difficulty. For reference, I am using SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers, worlds best RCA cables and a Fluance turntable with an AT VM540 cartridge.
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. The Billie Amp is something I am proud to own, love to listen to, and will never get rid of – for me, this is my end game amp!

My Billie is a great combination of design and function. I’m loving the sound of vinyl again (Klipsch Forte IIIs and a Project Evo turntable). It’s so good to hear detail and nuance again. Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Hear” and “Close to the Edge” by Yes sound incredible.

Since the Billie Amp is designed for entry-level hi-fiers, I think I can be most helpful recounting my own journey stepping up into hi-fi.
I had been listening to a bottom-rung 2-channel Marantz and bottom-rung Polks for some time—budget gear or mid-fi at best. But after a few years, I became bored and dissatisfied with the sound, and craved more. I decided that the Polks were the weak link, so I pulled the trigger on some Tekton Lores. The Lores are a great speaker and were a huge improvement, but also much more revealing of the limitations of the Marantz. Specifically, the tilted-up treble was driving me crazy, to the point where I often winced at treble-heavy recordings, especially female vocals. Even giving the speakers two or three months to calm down and open up didn’t help.
I had to have a new amp. I was scared away from amps that were described as having “tilted-up” treble, a “crisp” sound, or “pinpoint” imaging, or “forward” presentation, or as being “fun.” Given how efficient and revealing the Lores were and my commitment to CDs as my source, I didn’t feel like I needed an amp going out of its way to wring the last bit of clarity and resolution out of recordings and shoving it in my face. Tubes were a possibility, though the ones in my price range all seemed to come with one or more caveats—v. little power, no bass, questionable guarantee and service providers, need for tube rolling, again with the tilted-up treble, etc. The Billie was the one amp people described as airy and slightly warm with linear voicing. That sounded exactly like what I wanted to pair with the Lores, and so I did.
In short: Wow! My system now produces highs that are airy and refined, and I can revel in them because my system is no longer throwing daggers or shouting at me. The mids have plenty of air and are slightly sweet and warm, but not soft. With budget gear, I had always thought of bass as something that you either had more or less of, but now I’m able to appreciate different textures and timbres (if that’s the right word) in the low-end. And I’m pretty sure I’m also hearing what reviewers refer to as PRAT (pace, rhythm, and timing), a quick, precise, and effortless handling of bass passages that isn’t muddy or booming.
The overall presentation is just gorgeous. What this system does for the Beatles is almost unbelievable, which is another way of saying that Billie had me at hello. The soundstage is plenty wide without being silly, and the instrument separation is natural without being exaggerated. I can, and do, listen for hours without any fatigue. The only nit I wish to pick, is that the drums sometimes seem a bit shy, lacking the airy presence that the highs and mids have in such abundance.
Probably the thing I like most about the Billie/Lore pairing is that after months of thinking about gear and being unsatisfied, I’m now able just to immerse myself in my music. I can’t compare this pairing to other $2500+ systems (you’ll have to rely on professional reviewers for that), but I’m extremely happy at moving up from budget gear on this particular ladder.

The Billie Amp is even better looking in person than in pictures and the only thing better than the way it looks is the way it sounds!
My main speakers are Triangle Borea Br08s and I listen to a lot of acoustical and vocals and the Billie Amp is a perfect match for these speakers and this type of music. I’ve also paired it with Triangle Genese Trio bookshelf speakers and that sounds amazing as well. The Trios don’t have the cleanest bass but the Billie Amp tightens it up and smooths out the top end.
The only thing I really wish the Billie had was a USB input. Other than that, it’s beautifully perfect!
I can wait to see what Itai comes out with next. Whatever it is, sign me up!

I have been really enjoying switching over to the Billie amp. Firstly I would like to say that it is built very well. It is a small unit but there is a heft and solidity that you feel when you pick it up. I like the use of the aluminum channel body, strong and structurally sound. I love the tube preamp section. Music, tones are cleaner, better defined. Good depth to the soundstage. Voices, female or male are reproduced very well. The tone & timbre is excellent no matter the source. Bass is clean and fast and can still give that bit of thump you can feel. Even if I wanted to upgrade later I think all I would possibly do is add a separate power amp if I felt I wanted more power. The Billie is staying.

In the past I’ve been hesitant to consider a class D amplifier but there is no denying the appeal of robust power delivery in a compact package if one’s space is limited. If I was going to be convinced a class D amp would have to be special because there is a lot of class A-B competition. And the Billie is indeed special. The tube pre amp section is sublime and thanks to its flexibility I can keep the Billie as a preamp when I want to upgrade my amplification. The other thing that sold me was the aesthetics of the black finish Billie with its warm toned wood knobs (sort of that gold & black look). The lack of control labels is perhaps controversial but it gives the Billie’s an unobtrusive and minimalistic look that exudes a confident self assured elegance. Made in Canada, eh!

What a gem this thing is! I confess, I fell in love with its design first—the simple efficiency of the look, along with the interesting appearance of the tubes. So much so that I was willing to take a chance on the sound.
Believe me, the sound lives up to the promise of the look.
The Billie amp is a small package that delivers a big punch. I have a pair of Bowers & Wilkins bookshelf speakers, and Billie drives them beautifully. I mostly listen to jazz and classical music, and among the first things I played was Kenny Burrell’s “Midnight Blue.” Superb. The Bill Evans Trio sounded like crystal on “Portrait in Jazz.” Vocal artists like Roberta Gambarini shine as well.
A real surprise was how great acoustic guitar comes through with the Billie. One of my favorites is Eric Skye and Mark Goldenberg’s “Artifact,” but any solo acoustic music is going to sound spectacular.
Another amazing treat is the 2006 record, “Le Fil,” by the French artist, Camille. What she does with her voice and body percussion is incredible, and every nuance stands out. Like critics always say when they review stereo components: “I heard things I never heard before.”
Finally, I haven’t listened to much rock and pop yet, but one CD I always return to is Elvis Costello’s “When I Was Cruel,” and it blew me away on the Billie.
I’m impressed with the bluetooth input on the Billie, since I use it with Spotify quite a bit. You can tell the difference between bluetooth and a CD, of course, but for casual listening it’s great.
What a find. I ran across the Billie while Googling for a new integrated amp, and it’s now the centerpiece of my system and should do the trick for a long time.
Bravo, Itai!

I purchased one of the first Billie Amps from the Kickstarter campaign. I had searched for a few years for the perfect amp for my record player and vinyl collection, but something that also would look great – not easy to find. Then I came across the Billie, and the clean, understated design was EXACTLY what I was looking for. And to know this device was created with the passion of a fellow vinyl enthusiast, you could immediately see the attention to details.
The sound is rich, warm and the tubes beyond sound quality, also add to the beauty of the device. It was next to impossible to find something of this quality and calibre that also offered bluetooth- so the ability to also play music wirelessly was a win-win.
I’ve already recommended this highly to fellow record collectors. I can say for sure, there’s nothing out there that matches in terms of design, sound, aesthetic and quality.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the man himself behind it, Itai! Since he was visiting Toronto around the time the first round of units were complete, he offered to bring it with him so I could save on shipping.
I’ll be the first in line when he decides to do speakers!

The sound quality is superb, especially vocals. The base region is tight. Billie is coupled with Klipsch Heretic V4s and a REL subwoofer. Billie (Gold) tubes take the sharp edge off the Klipsch horns, making for more natural and relaxing listening, slightly taming these aggressive speakers. I also have connected a 1960s Pioneer PL 41 turntable and a BlueNote streamer, using Tidal. My Billie is really a great piece of gear, a huge sound upgrade from my 2006 Yamaha AV Receiver. I was stunned when I first made the switch, even with new tubes that weren’t burned-in. I’m glad I spent the small extra for the Billie. It’s an even better deal considering a phono preamp, headphone jack, DAC and Bluetooth are included -and they all sound great. With less need for extra wires and boxes, Billie makes my audio system look clean and uncluttered. My only gripes are not having a manual online and wanting slightly brighter LED lights, as my eyes are not what they used to be. Really good stuff Heaven 11. Makes being locked down now much more tolerable and even enjoyable.

I love this amp! The sound is amazing, espacially for the more romantic/acoustic music. Vocal and intruments are spot on. The Class D part makes the bass really punchy. Never enjoyed music this much.
I have the BIllie hooked up to my streamer, turntable and avr. I was really happy to get the 1.5 version with a remote, that way I could easily integrate the Billie to my home automation.
Proud to own a Billie. The design is great (I love the minimalistic look, no numbers, text, equalizers or funky displays, just the parts that really matter) and the sound is simply fantastic. I could do without a DAC and without the Bluetooth, but I can imagine some people need those. All in all: highly recommended!

I absolutely love my Billie Amp! First, the looks: it is a bona fide piece of art. It is the visual anchor point of my home office. I love to just sit and look at it. And the sound? It is warm, authentic, and magnificent. As other reviewers have highlighted, it faithfully represents music the way the artists intended it to be heard. It has no trouble making my Buchardt A400s sing — plenty of power. For a classic hi-fi experience, you can’t go wrong with the Billie. And the price is very reasonable.

I’ve had your Billie amp at home for the last ten days. When I bought it I had an all tube integrated amplifier that garnered rave reviews. I was very happy with it. It had more than enough current to drive my 4 ohm Magnepan MMGi panel speakers. However, once I purchased the Billie, I found the Billie surpassed the well-regarded tube integrated in all respects. I’m selling it.
Bullet points:
* Natural, seamless tonality between bass, midrange & treble
* Outstanding phono stage
* Spacious soundstage with pinpoint imaging
* Beautiful industrial design
The Billie makes music come alive. Jazz, classical, classic rock are all well served
The list price is a giant killer. The new price of my tube amp is double the Billie.
Itai is a pleasure to deal with. Contact him. You’ll thank me!

I received my billy amp about three months ago and must say that I am VERY impressed and pleased with the warm honey sound generated by this tube amp. I previously used various amps to find a nice warm sound when listening to my music (mainly jazz, classical, blues, and some rock ie, Pink Floyd, stones, Morrison….). The Billy did not disappoint. The warm, multi layered rich sound really surprised me from this very “clean” or even minimalist amp. It sounds much better than my previous amps (Rotel RA-1592, and Yamaha RN303). While listening to Dark Side of the moon on the Billy Amp, I heard things (layers) I haven’t heard on my previous amps !!! That said, I am very pleased with it and have already recommended it to some of my Audiophile friends.

Since receiving my Billie Amp, I have made constant use of the Bluetooth ability! It handles this with ease. I am also rediscovering my CD collection with the great sound that Billie kicks out!
