I’m a rookie when it comes to anything audiophile, but I knew what I wanted a system to sound like and I searched companies and read and watched reviews for many hours over several months. At 74, I wanted the vintage sound I remembered from the early 1970’s, warm and detailed at low to high volumes and non-fatiguing after marathon listening sessions. After coming across Heaven 11’s Billie MK3, I kept comparing and coming back. I picked the Classic with the Hypex module and performance DAC with the red tubes.
To complete the system, I purchased a pair of KLH Model 5 speakers and a Rega Planar 3 turntable with an upgraded ND5 MM cartridge. After listening for about 25-30 hours, I asked Itai with Heaven 11 for a recommendation for warmer tubes. He suggested the Electro-Harmonix 12BH7 / 12BH7A tubes, which have, after about 50 hours, blossomed with the speakers to sound extraordinary. Warm with fine detail and clarity at all volume levels with instruments and voices distinct and placed throughout the space. Really a beautiful experience.
Customer service and response to my many questions have been prompt and excellent. Couldn’t be happier with this company and this set-up, a system for a lifetime of joyful listening.

Environment: Small office with Martin Logan Motion 40i speakers and Bluesound Node Nano digitally connected.
Pros:
• Appearance: Just beautiful to look at. Love the wooden knobs. Elegant, minimalist design. Fits shallow cabinetry perfectly. Other manufacturers need to understand that not everyone wants huge metal boxes on display, some are over 21” deep!
• Features: Auto shut-off feature nice. Ability to change tubes a plus.
• Sound: Good voice and instrument separation. Voices slightly forward which I like. Good detail. Sounds great at all volume levels. Nice musical presence and depth at lower volumes. The red tubes sounded great, the gold tubes sound better (enhanced soundstage and smoother sound). The red tubes sounded muffled in comparison.
• Set up: Easy. Unpack -> plug in tubes -> connect speakers, source(s), power cable -> turn on -> select source -> enjoy.
• Support: Heaven 11 easy to work with and responsive to requests. Direct responses from the owner Itai.
Cons:
• Lack of balance and tone adjustments

• Very pleased with my purchase of the Heaven 11 Billie Amp Classic. Moved from an NAD M10V2 searching for an amp with more power and improved musicality/depth. The Billie amp delivered what I was looking for, and more. A beautiful design.

Sounded great right out of the box, and is only getting better as it burns in. Went with the ICE power module and upgraded the DAC to the performance module. Easy and intuitive and pairs well with my Zu Audio DW6 Superflys, U-Turn Audio turntable and Cambridge Audio CD transport. This is the best piece of hifi I’ve ever owned. The sound is rich and warm, yet powerful and clear. I love the tactile feel of the knobs. In addition, knowing that I’ve chosen a package combination of valves, DAC, power, colour and knobs that’s probably unique here in the UK makes it feel even more special than if I’d bought something off the shelf from a regular hifi store. It looks special too.
I am someone who has been swapping and changing components all my hifi life (since age 13, and I’m now 66), and maybe I’m still searching for the next turntable, speakers, CD, or whatever – but not this amplifier. It’s a keeper.

I am very pleased with the new Billie Amp Mk 111. I have been listening to this amp for 4 months now and it sounds very good with my Usher 718 DMDs and Rel subwoofer . Very pleased with the quick firmware update with issues with the remote . The amp is very unique in looks and features and I chose the Classic because of that . It is very good with mid bass and voices . I am sure this amp would sound great with a lot of speakers . I use this amp daily in my second system and is my 3rd amp in 20 years and likely my last . I decided to order the gen 3 after the glowing reviews of the gen 2 on youtube. I have not been disappointed. I replaced a bluesound powernode for my small room den system where I listen for many hours every day. Amp is paired with KEF LS50 Metas and KEF Sub. There has been a very noticeable improvement in clarity and tonality, especially when listening at low to medium volumes. While one could spend much more on an Amp, there would be very diminishing returns. This was the sweet spot for me!

Impressed beyond all expectations. The first thing that hit me was the imaging. The depth and width of stage with many recording are impressive. Hope to upgrade mc phono preamp and cartridge in a few months.
