The Spartan is for listeners who already know what they want —and want nothing in the way. No DAC, no Bluetooth, no phonostage. Just our tube preamp, Class D power, and eight RCA inputs feeding the shortest path from your source to your speakers.

You bring your sources, Spartan does the rest. Start with the power module that sets the character, ICEpower for warm and full or Hypex for neutral and fast. Then tune it with the tubes, and dress it with the knobs. Every choice is yours. Fewer things between you and your music.

It’s the same chassis as the Classic: compact, robust, and performance-driven. Firmware updates run over USB-C on Mac or PC. Buy it for the system you have now, keep it through the next three.

    | DAC Module

    The Core DAC is built around the ESS ES9039: 192kHz/24-bit, DSD, and Hi-Res, clean and quiet straight out of the box. It's a genuinely good converter, not a placeholder, and it handles streaming, ripped files, and high-res libraries without breaking a sweat.

    The Performance DAC finds the detail the Core leaves on the table. Two ES9039 chips, better clocking, and cleaner power drop the noise floor away, so the soundstage opens up with air around every voice and instrument.

    | Headphone Module

    The Core Headphone Amp handles a wide range of common headphone impedances with ease, delivering ultra-low distortion and a low noise floor.

    The Performance Headphone Amp uses a separate dual-mono design with wide bandwidth and enough output to drive 600Ω headphones. If you take headphone listening seriously, this is the one.

    | Tubes

    The tubes are your fine adjustment, a small shift on top of the power core you chose.

    The JJ ECC99 Red softens the top end and fills out the mids, for a relaxed, easy sound.

    The JJ ECC99 Gold opens the treble and tightens the bass, for a livelier, more detailed sound.

    I think you have a great sounding d class amp I’ve got it hooked up to a Metrum Acoustics ONYX Balanced NOS DAC amd Project cd transport to my Two 18 Amphion speakers with cardas wires it produces a unique sound I would say a Billie sound (I use to be a tube guy till I heard the spartan ) speechless

    The build quality, sound and power output of this integrated amp is comparable to much more expensive amps. I listen mostly to jazz and classical and the Billie produces tremendous warmth and depth that is very satisfying and easy to listen to for hours.
