Billie MK2 | Boosting the Vinyl [Phono] Input

This guide is for Billie MK2 only. There is no way to boost Mk1’s input.

The 4.5dB boost will accommodate 2-3mV low-gain MM cartridges. This won’t work for MC cartridges, as their input load isn’t 47K -you’ll need a step up transformer for that.

Please read instructions carefully and heed all warnings. If you need any assistance don’t hesitate to contact us

ATTENTION | FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN DAMAGE YOUR AMP. THESE DAMAGES ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.

Before you begin, ground yourself by pinching the grounding screw on the phono input. This will discharge any static electricity from your fingers which could potentially damage the electronic components of your amp.

Unplug your amp. Unplug your amp and remove the tubes. Wait for the tubes to cool before attempting to remove them.

Choose your workspace. To protect the brushed finish, flip Billie on a soft surface [like a cushion or the foam rails the amp was packaged in].

6. Close back the amp and you’re done!
